Payangan Beach

Payangan Beach - This beach is a relatively new beach tourism destination in Jember Regency. This beach, which has 4 beaches, 3 hills and 1 island, was once just a beach where local fishermen looked for fish. Payangan Beach became famous starting from the Unej Nature Lovers group who saw good and interesting potential from this Payangan Beach. Until in the end they coordinated with the local government to start promoting and making Payangan Beach a tourist destination in Jember Regency.

The charm of Payangan Beach is located on the main beach which has thick black sand which is smooth wrapped in several groves of weeds on the edge of the beach. The waves will feel amazing when they collide with the rocks at the foot of the hill on Payangan Beach. Visitors can also visit a Japanese cave at the top of the first hill. On the second beach, the beach is sandwiched between the two hills where there are many large rocks at the end of this beach.

Then you can go up to the second hill, which is a hill which is considered a romantic place for those who are already paired. Friends can see the expanse of the blue and wide sea. If you are lucky and the weather is very bright, you can enjoy the beauty of the Sunset on Payangan Beach from this second hill. Remember!! Do not do anything strange because on this second hill there is also the grave of a sacred local resident.

Continuing to this third beach is the beach where the fishermen's boats lean. Friends can see the activities of fishermen who will go to sea or return from fishing with their catch. If you want to experience the adventure of fishing on the high seas with them, you can negotiate with local fishermen to go fishing. At the eastern end of Payangan Beach, we arrive at the third hill which is known as the Hill of the Sheep. It is nicknamed the Hill of the Sheep because in the hill area there are several sheep belonging to the local community passing by. Approximately 15 minutes, you will arrive at the top of the hill and will be greeted with a unique beach view that only exists on Payangan Beach. You can see on the east side of this hill a beach that forms a love that looks beautiful that you can only enjoy from the top of the hill. This beach is nicknamed the Bay of Love because of its shape that resembles a heart. Access to Teluk Love is still not available due to its location across the river which can only be passed by boat.

The location of Payangan Beach is located east of Watu Ulo Beach, namely in Semberejo Village, Ambulu District, Jember Regency, East Java. If you want to go to Payangan Beach from the direction of Surabaya, please follow the route to Jember City through the direction of Rambipuji-Mangli-Ajung-Jenggawah-Ambulu. Follow the same path towards Papuma Beach or Watu Ulo Beach .

Arriving at Jalan Papuma, you just have to take a straight direction towards Watu Ulo Beach until you meet a T-junction then you go straight to the left. This is the only route to Payangan Beach. Until finally you will be greeted by parking attendants who offer their services. You just have to set yourself which way to go to Payangan Beach.

For accommodation and other facilities on Payangan Beach, it is fairly complete and still affordable. A large parking area, lined stalls, places of worship and toilets are readily available. You can also buy the catch of fishermen directly at this location because on Payangan Beach there is a tuna and pond fish processing facility. If you want to enjoy Sunset on this beach, the manager has provided a campsite in the east in the grass area on the third beach or you can also negotiate with local residents to be able to stay at their house to feel the warmth and wisdom of local residents.
